COMMISSIONING OF 5 UNIT TEACHERS BUNGALOW AT AYIWATA

On 15th April, 2019 a 5 Unit Teachers Bungalow was commissioned at Ayiwata in the North Tongu District. The project came about because of a pressing need for a Teachers bungalow to serve the needs of Teachers in Ayiwata. Most Teachers posted to the community are hesitant to take up their postings because of the lack of accommodation, there is also absenteeism because of Teachers staying so far from the community.
At the Commissioning was the District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu District, Hon. Richard Collins Arku, The Acting District Coordinating Director (DCD), Mr. Prosper Agbenyo, The District Planning Officer, Madam Stella Kpodo, The District Engineer, Ebenezer Adegah, Assembly member, Hon. Mawuli Vorsah, Chiefs and people of Ayiwata.
The Hon. DCE, said, soon the District Education Directorate will be posting newly trained teachers to the District and Ayiwata will be considered. He then implored the citizens of Ayiwata to give the needed support to teachers posted to their community, especially the female ones. Upon the receipt of a request for a poly-tank for the bungalow, the DCE said he will work on it and make sure they get the poly-tank at the earliest possible time.
The DCE reiterated the desire of the Nana Akuffo Addo led government to improve teaching and learning in all districts across the country. To improve teaching and learning also requires the provision of decent accommodation for teachers to improve their ability to teach and impact their knowledge onto students.
The Assembly member for the District, Hon. Mawuli Vorsah, acknowledged the presence of all that were present for the commissioning of the project. He then thanked the Hon. DCE of the North Tongu District Assembly for his massive contribution towards the building of the bungalow for the Teachers. He also acknowledged the colossal effort of the chiefs of the community for giving out the land for the execution of the project.
The commissioning came to an end with all present thankful of the great effort by the Assembly to improve teaching and learning at Ayiwata.
